1. Introduction
CutClock (“CutClock”, “we”, “us”) operates a grooming marketplace and live-queue service available globally. This policy explains what we collect and why, whether you use CutClock as a barber or salon (“Provider”) or as a customer joining a queue. By using our app or website, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to run the queue, connect customers to providers, and keep the service secure. What that means differs slightly depending on who you are:
What providers share
- Shop name, address, and contact details
- Services, prices, and working hours
- Staff/chair names you add to your team
- Your generated QR code and queue activity
- Payout and billing details (if on a paid plan)
What customers share
- Name and phone number (to hold your spot)
- Approximate location, to find nearby shops
- The service you select when you join a line
- Ratings and reviews you choose to leave
- Notification preferences for “you're next” alerts
Collected automatically
For everyone, we collect basic device and usage data — app version, device type, and anonymous analytics — to keep CutClock fast and reliable. We do not sell this data.
3. How we use your information
- To place customers in a live queue and show real-time position and wait estimates.
- To notify customers by push or SMS when their turn is near.
- To help customers discover nearby providers and help providers reach new customers.
- To process payments and manage provider subscriptions.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and no-show manipulation, and to keep accounts secure.
4. QR codes & queue data
A provider's QR code links to their live queue. When a customer scans it, we record that they joined the line, the service chosen, and the timestamps needed to run the queue (joined, called, served, or cancelled). Providers can see the names and services of customers currently in their ownqueue. Customers can see their position and the general status of the line, but not other customers' personal contact details.
5. Sharing & disclosure
We share information only as needed to provide the service:
- Between provider and customer — the minimum needed to manage a booking or queue spot.
- Service partners — payment processors, SMS/push providers, and hosting, bound by confidentiality.
- Legal — when required by applicable law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
6. Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Queue and booking records are retained for a limited period to support history, ratings, and disputes, after which they are anonymised or deleted. You can request deletion at any time (see Your rights).
7. Your rights & choices
- Access, correct, or download the information tied to your account.
- Delete your account and associated personal data.
- Turn notifications on or off, and manage location permissions from your device.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and routine security reviews to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit risk and will notify affected users of any material breach as required by law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as CutClock evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
